University of Tennessee
Student Fisheries Association

In 2005, a new student subsection was created to allow more focus on the fisheries aspect of natural resources management. The Student Fisheries Association is fully chartered by the American Fisheries Society and shares the same mission: to improve the conservation and sustainability of fishery resources and aquatic ecosystems by advancing fisheries and aquatic science and promoting the development of fisheries professionals.

There are many activities to participate in throughout the year. During the last year this organization has participated in educational programs, stream sampling, electroshocking, and stream clean-up activities. If you are interested in becoming a member of this very active organization please contact: Dr. Larry Wilson.
