Nicolas André is a Post-Doctoral Research Associate at the Forest Products Center of the University of Tennessee, joining UT the 1st of September 2003.

He first worked on developing an application with Matlab for 2D correlation analysis. He is also involved in a new project concerning the stress prediction of wood by NIR measurements. The experiments performed recently show promising results in terms of correlation and prediction.

Another project is dealing with optimization with the Genetic Algorithm (GA) of MDF panels predicted mechanical characteristic function of many processes variables.
